Stephen Brown is a computer engineer with experience building mission-critical systems at NASA Kennedy Space Center, NASA Langley Research Center, and Lockheed Martin. That background shaped a belief that the best technology is reliable, purposeful, and designed around the people who depend on it.
The inspiration for Mobile Principal came from personal experience. Watching his mother navigate the daily reality of being a school principal — the administrative demands, the paper processes, the disconnected systems — gave Stephen a clear picture of what was missing in K-12 education technology.
School and district administrators needed a platform that consolidated their workflows, reduced manual processes, and gave them the visibility they needed to support students effectively. Mobile Principal was built to be that platform.
Through StepTech Innovation LLC, Stephen has worked to build Mobile Principal as a flexible, customizable solution that adapts to the real-world requirements of districts and states — not a rigid product that forces every school into the same workflow.
